Basketball Development Centre

Experienced and new players are welcome to come and join the college basketball squad. We have male and female teams who are represented in the British Colleges Leagues and Cup competitions. We aim to support our students wherever we can by communicating with teaching staff so players can attend all lessons, and continue to train and play basketball. We believe success both inside and outside the classroom is vital in developing each player to their full potential.

As long as you are enrolled on any course at Bournville College we will welcome you to come and enjoy the game and be a part of the squad. Training kit will be available to squad members so you can attend fixtures in unity.

For those who show potential, we provide opportunities to trial for the West Midlands College basketball squad, as well as working closely with City of Birmingham Basketball Club who can help develop your playing career even further.

Throughout your time at Bournville College you may demonstrate qualities of an aspiring coach. If so we can help you improve these skills further and land a coaching position in the USA.

Fixtures take place most Wednesday afternoons, and commence very soon after September enrolment.
