Science and Maths

Science and Maths qualifications are in high demand and, whether combined or studied separately, they can open doors to a number of higher courses of study and professions from engineering to medicine.

At Bournville College, you will learn through a mixture of theory and practical lessons, involving lectures, experiments, online research and peer assessment in our well equipped and modern labs. You will be supported by well qualified tutors with a wealth of experience. 

Our popular vocational courses in Applied Science appeal to those interested in medicine, forensics or laboratory work. This is a hands-on vocational route to these professions, including work placements.  You can also choose to apply to enrol on the Career Academy for Applied Science which has employer engagement and work experience opportunities included .

Educational trips and visits are organised regularly to national science museums and other places of interest. Annual trip to CERN in Switzerland is very popular with students.
