Hairdressing

Hairdressing is a growing industry, according to Habia, the standards-setting body for the industry. Career opportunities exist in salons, department stores, hotels, cruise ships, health spas, theatres and television.

At Bournville College, you will be trained in state-of-the-art salons, where you will receive ‘hands on’ experience by working on members of the public for assessments. As well as the opportunity to learn highly practical skills, you will also benefit from many extra-curricular activities, including charity fundraising activities, photo shoots, fashion shows and visits to trade exhibitions. Courses include guest speakers from industry who will demonstrate their products and services.
