Art & Design

Bournville College has an excellent reputation thanks to the high standards of teaching. All our staff have different backgrounds within art and design, for example photography, fine art, graphic design etc. In addition, we often organise visits from practising artists in specialist areas (e.g. jewellery), to give our students an exposure to a wide variety of art disciplines.

Our Art & Design studios provide an exciting, dynamic and friendly study environment, with high quality specialist resources, equipment and technical support available to students.

All students within Art & Design department enjoy a wide variety of projects including fine art, digital and interactive arts, design, textiles, animation, photography, jewellery design, life drawings etc. Trips abroad and in the UK to art galleries and exhibitions are an important part of the course, as well as our annual Art & Design exhibition, outdoor drawing projects and visits from professional artists. In addition, every year we plan a trip abroad.  We have visited Paris, Barcelona  & Florence in Italy.
