BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION: ADMINISTRATORS: THE MODERN FLORENCE NIGHTINGALES
Monday, June 15, 2009 by mtt adminOften an overlooked role and as a subject, slightly stigmatised; business administration is something every company in the world needs, meaning a trained admin worker will rarely be shy of work.
The business administrator (BA) is involved in every aspect of a company and will be in regular contact with its entire staff; facilitating, communicating, updating, and tying together all the loose ends of the company. They oil the cogs of the enterprise, keeping the machine in order.

Like Florence Nightingale keeping watch over everything, BAs right all the wrongs that when left unsolved can bring down a whole organisation. BAs will work alongside everybody in the business and will be the first point of contact for everyone in the business. Put very simply, a good BA is vital for a successful enterprise.
So why am I waxing lyrical about these people? Simple, I want to educate people that the job title gives no indication of the variety and complexity the work entails. Also as I mentioned earlier, every company in the world needs a business administrator of some description, so if you’re looking for a career that involves a raft of skills, working with people, knowing everything about a company from the paper clips to the MDs wage; take a look at what’s on offer.
