At Bournville College we try to remove any barriers to studying. You may be eligible for a free course or free tuition, depending on your circumstances, for example:
- FREE courses for those aged 16-18
- FREE tuition for anyone on income based benefits
- FREE courses through the Train to Gain scheme
- FREE tuition for anyone embarking on their first Level 2 qualification (all students) or Level 3 qualification (19 to 25 year olds)
- FREE Prince’s Trust, Entry to Employment, Literacy and Numeracy courses
If you are on an income based benefit, your tuition fee will be free but you will still be liable to pay the College registration fee and any awarding body costs. Examples of income based benefits are: Housing Benefit, Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Council Tax Benefit, Pensions Guarantee Credit and Working Tax Credit (household incomes under £15,050). Regrettably, the following are not eligible for free tuition: Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Child Tax Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit and Pensions Saving Credit. Please note that there are some courses to which concessions don’t apply – ask us for more information. For further details of our fees policy, please click here.
