Poultry Master Class @ Urban Flavors

Learn how to produce wonderful tasting and eye
catching poultry recipes.

Demonstrations on basic butchery skills, as well as
preparing a whole bird ready for cooking will be included
in this master class.

You will then be able to produce a complete meal,
supreme of chicken, confit leg, wild mushrooms and
broad beans, pancetta arancini, butternut purée and a
rich jus sauce to compliment the dish.

Master class is a 4 hour session on a Wednesday evening
17.30pm-19.30pm, with each session taking place in Urban
Flavours Restaurant based at Bournville College.

Cost £25 per person per session

Mentor on the Move

Social Enterprise West Midlands and Social Enterprise Mentor are holding this networking event on Thursday 2nd May.

The event is open to all with an interest or an involvement in social enterprise, a great place for social entrepreneurs, social enterprises, community projects, SMEs, funders and supports to share their stories, business practices and exchange ideas and expertise. Mentor on the Move is a series of regular, informal networking events held at various venues across the West Midlands.

Our Open Days are always enjoyed by visitors because of the friendly atmosphere that we pride ourselves on. You will have an opportunity to receive advice and guidance about our higher education courses but this is also a chance for you to find out what it's like to be a student at Bournville and of course, learn more about our new state-of-the-art campus.

Meat Master Class @ Urban Flavors

Learn how to produce wonderful tasting and
eye catching meat recipes, fully garnished and
ready to eat. Our experienced chef will provide
demonstrations on basic butchery skills
focusing on boning and tying shoulder of lamb
tunnel boned and tied ready for roasting.

You will then be able to produce a meal consisting
of a loin of lamb chop, fondant potato, and
cauliflower and mint purée, spring greens with a
rich guinness jus to compliment the dish.

Master class is a 4 hour session on a Wednesday
evening 17.30pm-21.30pm. The session will take
place in Urban Flavours Restaurant based
at Bounville College.

Cost: £25 per person session.

During the event we have a guest speaker discussing how young people have helped grow, market and support their business. We will also have current and previous apprentices to discuss their time on the scheme and answer any questions you may have.

Fish Masterclass @ Urban Flavours
