Working with Employers
As an employer, you know the value of trained staff and whatever the size of your business, you only want the best for it. You want to be sure that training delivers tangible results in the workplace and does not unduly disrupt the smooth running of your business.
That is why Bournville College is organised around your needs and is staffed by trainers who are qualified and experienced practitioners in their subject areas. Our Business Development Team forms the vital link between business, trade organisations, funding bodies and the College.
We can help you to train existing staff to ensure they have the skills needed to drive your business forward in challenging economic times, as well as assisting you in finding the next generation of employees through the expanding Apprenticeship scheme and discussing grants and funding available. We can also help you recruit new staff equipped with the skills you need through our highly successful pre-employment training programmes delivered by our Integrated Employability and Skills Team.
With the College’s move to Longbridge in September 2011, we have strengthened our links with local and national organisations to develop long term partnerships. This means you can rely on us to learn to understand your business and help you find the right training solution for your staff that will deliver genuine business impact.
A survey inspection programme carried out by Ofsted in 2012 to assess ‘The impact of skills programmes for adults on achieving sustained employment’ commended Bournville College on its strong commitment in supporting and developing employability provision. The report states that ‘The college has invested significantly in developing a wide range of courses that is extremely effective in improving participants’ employability skills and helping them back into work’.
In the Ofsted Inspection report 2014, it was commented that:
