NOCN Progression Level 2 Certificate and GCSEs

Duration

The NOCN Progression Level 2 is a full time course lasting until July.

Introduction

Studying NOCN Progression Level 2 will assist you with developing your Maths, English and Personal Social Development skills. You will get the opportunity to learn new skills suited for further study and gaining work. You will complete GCSEs in Maths and English alongside NOCN units in Maths, English and Personal Social Development.

NOCN Progression Level 2 is taught at our Longbridge campus which conveniently has strong transport routes with; Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Warwick, Solihull, Coventry and other surrounding areas.

Content

The NOCN Progression Level 2 course will enable students to improve Maths and English skills along with Personal and Social Development opportunities.

Teaching Methods

You will lean through completing projects and tasks set by your tutor. You will also have the opportunity learn through team work exercises.

Assessment

GCSE maths is assessed by examination. GCSE English is a mixture of examination and controlled assessment. For the NOCN course you will build a portfolio of work which will be marked against the qualification criteria.

Opportunities for Progression

This qualification will give you the opportunity to progress onto a range of Level 2 or 3 BTEC programmes. It will also provide you will the skills to begin employment in a range of jobs.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course although you will be assessed for Maths and English Skill on enrolling to make sure you are on a course that meets your learning needs.
