ICT Skills – Introduction to ICT Skills (The Study Hub)


ICT Skills is a maximum of 6 weeks for two and a half hours per week.


This short course is designed for the complete beginner and the terrified.

Pick up the ICT skills you need to get started in word processing and using e-mail for pleasure, work or learning.

ICT Skills is taught at our campus in Longbridge, Birmingham.


Use a keyboard
Store and retrieve document files
Use editing tools
Use formatting tools
Send an e-mail message
Attach a file to an e-mail message
Manage incoming e-mails

Teaching Methods

A variety of teaching methods including individual work, whole-class teaching and computer based activities.


The course is based on continuous assessment using a variety of methods including course work and the completion of worksheets and tasks.

Qualification Gained

The qualification you will gain is an Entry Level Three OCNWM Award in Progression. 

Opportunities for Progression

Successful completion of the course can assist you with progression to a range of courses or work opportunities.
