Caring for Children Certificate Level 1
Duration
1 day a week for 36 weeks attending College and ½ day a week for 36 weeks for Literacy and Numeracy.
Introduction
The Caring for Children Certificate Level 1 qualification is designed to stimulate interest and encourage students understanding of the skills needed to care for a baby or young child.
The qualification is also suitable for parents who wish to develop parenting skills and life skills.
Caring for Children is taught at our Longbridge campus which has fantastic public transport links with Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Warwick, Coventry and other surrounding areas.

Written assignments or tasks.
Assessment
Assignments/tasks will be assessed against a pass/refer assessment criteria.
Qualification Gained
A Certificate in Caring for Child/Children
Opportunities for Progression
On successful completion of this course and numeracy and literacy, students can progress to a level 2 Childcare Qualification.
Entry Requirements
Entry Level 3 Literacy and Numeracy or above.
