Pro Tools Course runs for 8 weeks, 2.5 hours per week on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm on 16th April 2013
Tuition fee: £200

Introduction

Pro Tools Course is an introduction and skills building course in using Pro Tools. The course will focus upon recording, editing and mixing audio and MIDI. This course is for those who wish to explore the potential of Pro Tools, it will give students a solid grounding in the basics of the program, in addition to valuable hands on recording experience.

Pro Tools is taught at our Longbridge campus based near Birmingham. The campus has great transport links with; Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Warwick, Redditch and other surrounding areas.

Teaching Methods

Demonstrations and practical sessions.

Assessment

There will be no formal assessment. Students will be required to present a small portfolio of work produced during the course.

Qualification Gained

On successful completion you will receive a college certificate of attendance.

Opportunities for Progression

Upon completion of this course you may have the opportunity to progress an intermediate level.  This would involve a deeper exploration of the pro tools software, advanced editing/mixing techniques using automation and time stretching of audio. You would also investigate use of software plug-ins and EQ/effects etc.

Entry Requirements

A keen interest and desire to improve your skills. Access to your own Pro Tools installation, of whatever type, LE, M powered, HD, etc.
