Students at Bournville College have presented a Skyline Cake of Birmingham to Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill to celebrate the restaurants’ fourth birthday. The cakes were judged by MPW’s head chef Christopher Haynes, ex-Great British Bake Off contestant Ali Imdad and Birmingham based restaurant and food critic Paul Fulford.
A group of catering students at Bournville College are taking on the challenge of designing a birthday cake with a Birmingham twist for Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, Birmingham’s fourth birthday. The students will be designing a cake, which will include all of the local and iconic landmarks that make up the Birmingham Skyline and have to use all of their baking and catering knowledge in order to achieve it.
Travel and Tourism students at Bournville College were thrilled as they had the opportunity to meet Marco Pierre White at his iconic Steakhouse Bar and Grill restaurant at the Cube and sample some of his cooking, with a live demonstration.

A group of pupils from Bournville School took part in a real culinary experience in Bournville College’s Terrace Restaurant. Year 11 Pupils who attend Bournville College one day per week to study the Introduction to the Hospitality Industry course, prepared, cooked and served a special menu for their friends and families to celebrate their newly acquired gastronomic skills.
