The special preview launch event for Regional Growth Fund held on Monday 23rd April saw over 100 representatives from SMEs attending the event where Alun Thorne, Editor from Birmingham Post and Norman Cave, Principal at Bournville College announced key details of the fund.
When the fund goes live on Thursday 26th April, grants of £10,000 to £100,000 will be available for enterprises, entrepreneurs, SMEs and start-ups in the Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry areas that are able to provide up to 50 per cent match funding. In addition, each grant recipient will have access to support as well as skills assessment and training.
During the event, Birmingham Post also announced key dates of the fund:
- Thursday 26th April 2012 – fund goes live. Expression of Interest form will be available from a dedicated website www.thebusinesssupportnetwork.co.uk (the website goes live on 26/04/12)
- Thursday 24th May 2012 (midnight) – Access to Expression of Interest form closes
- Thursday 31st May 2012 (midnight) – Closing date for full applications
